The Race

A 200-km race divided into 5 stages of jungle, forests, volcanoes and rivers. Its final stage incorporates a special NonStop section, covering over 80 km and leading us to the wonderful Atlantic Cost of Limón province.

Each runner will endure long periods of heat, humidity and solitude, in the sole company of Costa Rica’s natural diversity and animal life. All runners will be responsible for carrying all their own equipment, including food, safety equipment and a minimum of 2.5 litres of water, which can be replenished at control stations throughout the stages. See rules. For sleeping purposes, each runner should have a hammock to be hung in a single camp with the other participants.
